What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy combines psychotherapy with creative expression, offering another way to explore thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to put into words. Art materials can be used to express, reflect and make sense of experiences in a way that feels less pressured than talking alone.

You do not need any artistic skill or experience. The focus is not on creating something polished, but on the process and what may emerge from it. Sessions can involve talking, creative work, or a combination of both, depending on what feels right for you.

What is Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy offers a supportive and confidential space to explore thoughts, feelings, relationships and experiences that may be affecting your wellbeing. It can help with anxiety, stress, low mood, self-esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties and times when you may simply feel stuck or unsure of what you need.

My approach is humanistic and person-centred, which means therapy is guided by you and what feels most important to explore. The aim is to help you develop greater understanding, self-awareness and a stronger sense of what you need moving forward.
